Accordingly, we invite entrepreneurs and small business owners to send applications to participate in the competition, especially from Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Gabon, Libya, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, and Togo. , Tunisia, and Zambia .

Although North and Central Africa regions are underrepresented in terms of the number of applications submitted, the competition “Business Champions in Africa” ​​received excellent applications from those regions in the previous editions, as two North African entrepreneurs reached the first ten ranks in 2019, while an entrepreneur arrived From the Central African region to the first ten ranks in 2020. 

The main theme of this year’s edition is “The African Time”, which is the title of a bold appeal that we send to African entrepreneurs who do not hesitate to confront negative stereotypes and achieve positive impact and growth thanks to their companies and businesses. The “Business Champions in Africa” ​​competition is the flagship philanthropic program of the Jack Ma Foundation in Africa. It is a competition open to all entrepreneurs, founders and co-founders of African-based companies and other social institutions of at least three years of existence. Accordingly, African entrepreneurs, of all sectors, genders and ages, can submit applications for registration in the competition.
