NiMet predicts 3-day sunshine, haziness from today

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunshine and haziness from Monday to Wednesday.

NiMet, in its weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja, predicted a sunny and hazy atmosphere over the North and the North Central region throughout Monday.

It predicted cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine in the morning hours over the inland cities of the South.

It added that there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over parts of Edo, Abia, Ondo, Ekiti, Imo and Enugu states in the evening hours.

“Cloudy conditions are expected over the coastal cities in the morning hours with slim chances of localised thunderstorms over parts of Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa state.

“Isolated thunderstorms are expected in parts of Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Lagos and Delta states during the afternoon and evening period,’’ it stated.

The agency predicted sunny and hazy conditions over the North and the North Central region on Tuesday.

It also predicted a partly cloudy atmosphere in the inland and the coastal cities of the South with prospects of morning thunderstorms over parts of Lagos and Delta states.

It envisaged thunderstorms over parts of Ondo, Abia, Edo, Enugu, Lagos, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states later in the day.
